Metformin and BCP

Hi All,

I'm on Ocella the generic of Yasmin right now, and I just can't live with the side effects (sinus congestion, migraines, chest tightness, feeling out of breath...etc) My doctor said and I've been reading about taking metformin. Would it work by itself? does it make the BCP symptoms go away? I really want to stop the BCP and just take the met, but I'm not so sure ... any suggestions or advice?
