Hi i am just wondering what dosage other metformin users started seeing results.

I am 4ft 11in and weigh 59kg and i have not had a period since 16th october 06, i have been taking metformin for aprox 2 months. i started on 500mg the doctor told me to increse it to 1000mg after 2 weeks but i increased it to 1500mg and tonight i decided to increase the dosage to 2000mg because i am not getting the results i want, i have lost 4 kg but i was only 10kg overweight for my height so weight is not a major issue for me i just really want to get my period every month like a normal woman and i so hoped that metformin would help me with that so i am wondering how long it took other metformin users to see ressults?
also do you take your full dosage all at once or do you split in half and take half in the morning and half at night?

I am on 2000mg of XR and take all 4 pills at once in the morning. When I started it I got 3 back to back 32 day regular cycles and then it stopped. I'm going to do a round of provera to bring on AF in the next few days again and then I'm hoping for some more regular cycles.
