Default Metformin and Eggs

And no, I don't mean the ones from our ovaries!

I mean scrambled eggs for breakfast!

Anyone have trouble with these? My Metformin has been playing nicely with everything else I eat - EXCEPT for eggs. This is killing me, because #1 - I LOVE eggs and #2 - I need something healthy to eat for breakfast!!

Advice? Sympathy? Help!!!

Hmm... I don't have problems with salad. OK, well... so it doesn't, um... process, very well... but it doesn't send me running to the bathroom all day, and it doesn't burn like eggs.

I had eggs for lunch today, thinking I might be safe because I don't take Met with lunch.

I was wrong. Oohhhh man, was I wrong.

I had that problem with eggs. I find that if I limit it to one serving (no more than 3 per day) I'm ok, but that took a while. I had the same reaction to salad too. Not fun.

Hm- I only seem to have problems with greasy foods-- or anything even remotely high in fat. There was one week that all I wanted in the world was scrambled eggs with low- fat cheese. LoL-- funny how met affects our bodies differently.

I had this problem with an egg yesterday. Ate it for lunch - and regretted it soon after. My poor distended tummy is only now going back to unbloated normal....
and I am only on 750mg Met per day at the moment - soon to be increased to 1500mg.
No more eggs.

Thanks, girls.

*sigh* Guess it's over with the eggs, huh? Ah well.
