I was looking on the hospital site that we have where I live & it said this:

Drug-to-Food

METFORMIN HCL (METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE) and FOOD
Taking metformin with food may cause the metformin in your blood to be too low. Using metformin with food may cause your medicine to not work for you. Using metformin with food is not recommended. It is important to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all other medicines that you are using. If you are already using metformin with food, call your doctor if your blood sugar level is very different each time you check it, feel dizzy or lightheaded, have blurred vision, have abdominal pain, or have cold and sweaty skin. Do not stop using your medicines without talking to your doctor first.

1.What ALL does everyone think about this??
2.Maybe thats why I haven't been losing that much weight that I had been before awhile taking Metformin cause I have been taking it with food??

7.Do u guys take Metformin with food/awhile eating food & still lose weight awhile dieting???

My prescription bottle says to take it with a meal. Is the site referencing a study or something? You can always call your doctor and double check.

Mine says to take with food as well and I usually do. I have been having tummy problems but I have been losing weight.
