Metformin & Hair loss/ Acne

Hello all!
It fells so nice to have found this website.
I was diagnosed with PCO by the age of 17. Im am now 32 and have taken Diane 35 (I think it is called Dianette in most countries).
I am currently not taking Diane for 1 month so that I make some blood tests to determine whether or not I am insuline resistant; If so, it is possible that my endocrinologist prescribes Metformin since I want to get pregnant in a couple of years.
While on Dianette, my acne and hair loss problem (never had hisurtism) absolutely disappeared. Will I have the same benefit from Metmorfin? If results are variable, how variable are they for acne and hair loss (from the head) specifically? If that can help, I am a lean cyster, never had obesity issues.Hope you can help since oily skin/ acne and hair loss is no fun at all, that is why I am concerned about getting these benefits from Metformin. I too have the same question. I am thin cyster (119lbs) and am wondering how Met will afftect me. I am going to start taking 500mg a day. I don't have hair loss or oily skin but do have ongoing hormonal breakouts. Hopefully someone can comment for us on the effectivness Met has on these things.
