I am just so darn happy right now that I have to share. Some may read and think big deal but considering my history its cause for a happy dance for me!!!
I used to take Rezuline then it was pulled so I was put on Met and it made me so terribly ill I went off it for the longest time (a few years).
This month I decided to bite the bullet and see if I could try again. I was put on 1000 mg a day and am having no ill side-effects. Been on for 2 weeks. So I called my IE and requested he up the dose I got the call back just minutes ago. He said go ahead with 1000 in the am and 500 in the pm for one week, if still no ill effects then next week go with 1000 in the am and 1000 in the pm. I am just so darn happy about this and I feel I really owe so much thanks to all the members of Soulcysters for inspiring me to try yet again!

I am currently on 1500 as well, I only had side effects for the first week, and desastrous ones. They are now gone, I noticed that if i really eat alot of fat I will have some again, but at the same time, it discourages me to do that again... Motivation Met... LOL

Congrats .. my mom just went for the WLS on June 15th. . She went for her 1 month check up a week and a half ago.. She's lost 33 lbs+ ... We are soooo proud of her..

I notice the same thing if I have too much sweet stuff ...I like your term "Motivation Met" that covers it!! Also seems to curb my appetite in general...

Serra....Congratulations from me to your mom!!! How wow'ed she must be huh! 33 pounds is terrific. As for me, mine was many moons ago, just over 3 years to be near exact. I lost about 125 put a lil back on but not much. I was told that was to be expected as my tummy pouch grew. I am quite stable and steady with what I currently weight. I never made it to being slim or svelt but I am so much more comfortable in my body than I ever was! If I could afford the tummy plastics I would be near hourglass which is a big difference to where I was.
My surgery changed my life. It changed not only how I look which I consider just a perk but it changed important things as well. It changed my mindset, my health (back problems and pco are just a few of many) oh my goodness I could write a book on the changes I experienced and not one of them has been negative.
I wish your mom health and happiness. I'd love to be updated periodically on how she is doing! If she or you ever have questions feel free to ask.

I am very proud of my mom, and seing her progress is motivating me to do something now, before I get to the point that my only option is surgery. We are lucky here in canada, most Provincial Health plans cover the basic tummy tuck, as health problems can arise due to the weight and rash it can cause. (That is assuming that you were approved by the Province for the WLS.. which is not easy).
I'm glad that You had a life changing experience with it... from seeing my mom.. it does seem to be changing her inside out as well. I will try to message you with updates.. questions I don't have much anymore... my main questions were answered by the WLS diva on the Diet and Exercise Thread, but thank you very much foe the offer... I am sure more questions will arise...
CONGRATS on your weigh loss, and health improvement.
No babydust needed here yet, just been with the BF for 5 months.. LOL... but I'll keep it in a lil sack for when it will be needed...
