Unhappy metformin having the opposite effect???

I finally asked my dr. to put me on met for my pcos symptoms even though Ive never tested positive for high insulin or blood glucose. I feel bloated and weigh more now than I have in months??? I also have a blood sugar monitor and have been testing the last 5 days and my levels are higher then they ever have been before I started the met. Has anyone else experienced this? And I must mention I work out 4-5 days a week and have always eaten a low carb diet. I dont know if my bodys just trying to get used to it or should I stop? My lipid panels have more than doubled since I stopped bc 3 years ago so I feel like if anything I should stay on met just to see if it at least helps lower them. I need advice, please help........Ive been on 1000mg for five weeks.

thanx danielle
