Question Metformin and hotflashes???

Is this a side effect possibly? It can't be that every room around me is as hot as I feel lately. I usually am freezing around here. At work I seem to constantly have the fan running and I am waking up yanking covers off at night. Not having night sweats just so hot it wakes me up. I've noticed this the last 3 days - as long as I've been taking this stuff. This is my 3rd time around on met and i've never noticed this before. Any help out there would be appreciated.

Fluctuations in hormones can cause hot flashes, and since Met can effect the balance of our hormones, this can be a side effect. It effected me differently; I had frequent hot flashes for years before starting Met, and once my hormones balanced out I was no longer feeling hot all the time. Instead, I am constantly cold!
