Default metformin and light AF?

I hope this is not TMI. I have been on 1000 mgs of Met for a month and have just recently started the 2000 mgs just a couple of days ago. I can't tell if this is af or not. Yesterday I had a small amount of bleeding. So small that I don't need to use a pad or anything and it didn't even last the whole day, only until early afternoon and I only noticed it when I went to the bathroom. I have a very small cramping, so small that It hardly bothers me. Today it is the same thing! Normally when I have AF my boobs get really sore and I cramp pretty badly. I normally have one every other month and I had my normal AF last month so normally I wouldn't be having AF this month, but I thought perhaps since I started the metformin that maybe it is making me regualar. I just wonder if anyone else has had this happen? a really light period? I don't even know if I can call it a period. It is weird. I hope it is my body starting to get regular.

sounds like spotting to me?
I would maybe hold out another few days see what happens. They say a true period must have red blood and enough to get to a pad.. I had a few days of spotting last cycle where it was brown then red for about 5 days when I wipped... but after that AF Came with a bang!

Thanks! It must be spotting because even now it still hasn't gotten heavier. But maybe this is some hope that I will eventually start getting a regular AF. I was just starting to worry that maybe there was something wrong with me . I figured it perhaps could be metformin doing what it is supposed to do and that my body is adjusting. I guess we will see!
