| Registered User | I've been on Loestrin Fe 24 for a few years now and haven't had any complaints. Ever since being on this BCP, I have always gotten my period on a Tuesday, exactly when it's supposed to be there. I started Met two months ago. The first time I was to get my period while on the Met, I ended up getting it 5 days early, while I will still taking the active pills. It ended up lasting extra long as well. This month, my period is 2 days late. Has anyone else had their periods screwed up after starting Met?

| Registered User | Hi there. I'm on Loestrin 24 Fe, but switching to Kariva after I finished this pack. My first month on Loestrin I had no period. But on my second and third month my period came as it should. Unfortunately, during my third month I got side effects like anxiety, depression, breast tenderness and spotting. I stayed on it for two more months hoping my body will get used to it, but unfortunately I needed to switch because the side effects were getting worse instead of better. My doctor told me that usually if you are still getting side effects after the third month, most likely they won't go away. So she switched me to Kariva which I will try after my next period. Previously I was on Lo Ovral 28, which was pretty good for me (no side effects), but I had to switch to a lower dosage pill due to other health complications. Also Loestrin was supposed to give me a shorter period, but it didn't. It made it lighter, but the length was about the same. |

| Registered User | Thanks for responding! It's good to know that I'm not the only one to not get a period while on both met and loestrin. I took a pregnancy test just in case....and I'm definitely not pregnant. So, it must just be the met reacting with the BCP.

| Registered User | This isn't much help, but I do know that your body needs to get used to the added meds. I am a super impatient person when it comes to seeing results, so I know this sucks. But keep with it!!! |
