Default Metformin and pain sensitivity

I've been on Metformin for a full week now at the low dose of 500 mg a day, taken during my evening meals. I can't complain about what most say is the worst side effect, the frequent runs as I too have Ulcerative colitis and so there was no big change for me to run more than once to the potty.

What is bugging me though is that anywhere between half an hour to an hour and a half, I get either a really bad headache, really bad toothache where I cant figure out which tooth it's coming from or worse, both. Sometimes it feels like it's my cheek bone that's hurting. Always on the right side too.

There's nothing worse than a toothache at night! I've been taking 600 mg or ibuprofen or 1000 of Tylenol but I don’t want to have to take it every day.

Am I the only one who is experiencing this?
