No, I haven't. I started on 500 twice a day, and am now on 1000 twice a day. At first it didn't bring my period, but as soon as I moved to 2000mg a day I now have it like clock work, and I must say it's much better bleeding wise than it was when I only got it 2x a year.

i quit taking met last month cause i believed it was making me have an extra long period. I will probably have to restart it though. It will bring on yur period for most, so i don't see y it couldn't make u bleed longer than a reg period. thyroid will do that too. i had a 6 month af so i hear ya last month was 2 wks

This post looks a little old, but wondering if there is any news with this?

I've been bleeding for 2 weeks now and wondering if it is from the Met? Was taking BCP but bleeding started midpack and when I got to placebo I just discontinued. Still going...so wondering if it is from Met....started just a few weeks ago with this med and not loving it.

I know some take Met to GET a period....never been my issue. With endo as my 2nd problem, heavy periods are my thing....but not this long! ah!

I have a similar issue. I got my first period in months 2 weeks ago due to BCP. I started 500mg of Met around the same time, and I haven't stopped bleeding since. It's lighter than normal, but still there.

I'm glad to have my AF but 2 weeks is an awful long time.
