Hi all,

I've been reading loads of the Met posts and most seem quite negative, so I thought I'd add a positive one to maybe change the minds of those who have their doubts.

I started it in July 2002 when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I take 1500mg day and in conjunction with a low-carb high-fat diet, I have went from 238lbs to 154lbs, aiming for 138lbs (cant wait until the day I'm posting my success story!!!). I am 22 and had acne from age 9, my back and face were always covered, but in the past 18months it has completely disappeared from my back and I've usually 2-3 small unannoying (not sure if thats a word!) spots on my chin at any one time, barely noticeable once I put make-up on. I've found it an absolute lifesaver and miracle, acne was ruining my life!!! I used to have periods every 3-4 months and since starting met they've came every 4-6 weeks. I rarely suffer PMT or bad period pain, like I used to.

I had bad mood swings for the first six months but I'm not sure if the met is to blame or the fact that I hated my previous job more than anything in the world and was under alot of stress!

Don't expect it to be a miracle drug straight away, give it time and you never know what could happen!
