My understanding is that Prozac is a good anti-depressant for diabetics because it has lower blood sugar issues than some other anti-depressants. It has few side effects and drug interactions and it's affects on glucose levels are minimal.
I think treating depression is more important than the small increase in glycemia brought on by the drug. You can control that small sugar issue through the Met and through diet and exercise.
