Talking Metformin Really Works

Hi, for those of you who don't know me, I started metformin last month, the day I was diagnosed. And I just wanted to tell all of you soulcysters just starting metformin, hang in there, it can work for you.

In the one month of my diet and metformin, I have lost 10lbs, I have so much energy, I never sleep past 6:30 (and I don't own an alarm clock), and I have a sex drive (I thought I would never want to have sex again ). So I am just writing this to encourage all of you fellow soulcysters, to hang in there, and you will find what works for you.

lol I wouldn't give mine up for anything either.

In my first month I saw my period which I hadn't seen in such a long time and now I have it every month. It's definately working wonders for me.

Hello Cysters,

I started metformin just two weeks ago and I've seen a marked change in my energy level. Really unbelievable. I was sleeping 12-14 hours a day, unable to get up in the morning, way too exhausted to exercise. All of a sudden Im waking up at 6:30 in the morning feeling energized and alert! Ive even started my exercise routine again. The really amazing thing is that I recently had a not so nice doctor that the reason for my fatigue was because I am too fat. Well Im just a couple pounds lighter then when I saw her and I feel like a different person. YAY METFORMIN

Default Metformin, it really works

I have been on Glucophage aka...metformin, for almost a year, and it has done wonders for me. It helped with my acne, facial hair and really leveated my energy level.
I am supposed to take 1500mg day, but have been so busy haven't had time to eat much lately, so have skipped alot...i sure can tell the difference when i don't take it!!!
The only thing i would say, is make sure to eat something with it, it will lessen the upset stomach feeling....
Have a good day!!

Yea I noticed something different too...I mean I have had energy not a boost but not so tired I switched from Glucophage to the generic and since thenI have felt alot better. AF issue well I was given Provera this past month so we will see if it has starteed to work in that dept for me next month! I too on weekends especially have been getting up at around 6am can't sleep so I get on the computer. I won't say it's a boost like I said but defiantely different.
Now this week with being stressed I have been a lil tired for the past 2 days I hope I am not slipping back into the rut again...oh gosh I hope it's just stress!!

Yes it sure does!

My OB mentions my stopping Met and I tell him to just keep writing those scripts!! There's a lot more good that comes from being on met, even while pregnant.

I'm actually bringing 20+ pages of positive research to him for my 5 month appt. He's really pretty cool and does listen.

This as opposed to a specialist I saw last week who is just a bit flaky, I think.

Thanks for the encouragement. May I toot the horn along with you?

Hi,

thanks for that. I've only started taking Met. I'm just about to get my first cycle after taking it. I don't know anyone who's been on it so it's great to hear that someone highly recommends it.

I have found that I have less of an appetite since taking it (which is a good thing)!

Anyway, thank you so much, I will be patient and hopefully it work for me soon. My husband and I are so desperate to have a baby. It's been over a year so you can just imagine our frustrations!

Regards,
