Default Metformin reducing 'swelling'

Just thought I would post my experience. I was on Metformin for a while before my last baby but I have just gone back on it. (4 yrs post baby). I didn't realize how bad I looked until I went back on it. Everyone was like "you don't look swollen anymore"...apparently I had puffed right up like a marshmallow. Suddenly, and I mean within 3-4 days of going back on it, I am not puffed out anymore. I'm also not starving all the time, which is awesome. Now I'm either not very hungry, or I get full quicker, which will no doubt contribute to my weight loss. I could do without the nausea of the initial side effects, but I'm hoping that will clear up as I fully adjust to being on the meds again. Makes me wonder what I was doing to my body by not going back on it right after baby.
