I took metformin for three weeks in 2003,I lost 12lb in 2 weeks and was pregnant by the third week,my miracle drug!!I now have started taking it again,I am on 1000mg a day,I have no symptoms,last time I felt so ill,I feel nothing but hunger and have lost no weight!!Whats going on,has anybody else experienced this?

Well, my expieriance isn't quite the same as yours.
But last time I was on Met I was sick for weeks and lost so much weight.
I just recently got back on it, and I don't have the side effects this time(knock on wood). Except I do have loss of appetite. I don't want to eat anything. Unfortunatly I have to eat in order to take each pill.

I've read where alot of cysters here expieriance different effects of Met each different time they take it.
It has been a year since the first time I took it. I would think it would make me sick with the side effects this time around, but it hasn't.
I'm not sure why it can be different each time around....That's a good question.

only 10 days on 1000mg,last time I was so ill on it I was dreading going back on it but feel nothing I wouldn,t even be surprised if they were pills made of flour!
