I have heard people mention Metformin XR and just Metformin but mine has just got Glucophage/Metformin SR on the box. Is this the same as XR or what? I am getting very confused and looking it up on the internet didnt help. Hope someone can.

SR = slow release. I think it's the UK version of Met ER. I have only ever seen SR referred to on UK sites.
