I'm afraid of not following his directions and ending up with inconclusive test results. Sorry if I sound scattered at the moment but all this is new(as a reality) today and I have the worst migrane headache. Could this be from the meds I took only a few hours ago or maybe just from a hectic day
Definitely call the doctor and see if he will start you out on just 500mg for like a week and then increase slowly to 1000mg and so on and so on. I really think shocking your body with a high dose of 1500mg is going to make you sick. But you may be one of the lucky ones that it doesn't effect too much. Good luck!!!!!

I so hope so since I've been trying to get pregnant for about 12 years... Did anyone experienced some pink spotting before and is that really implantation bleeding? Thanks for all your help and Good luck to all!!!
Hi Dee, Sorry but 4 days after O for implantation spotting is too early. It may have been from just ovulation itself. I did have implantation spotting when I got my BFP but it was 11dpo. It takes the egg at least 6-8 days to make it's journey to the uterus to implant.

I really hope this is it for you though! 12 years.....I can't imagine. We tried almost 5 years and I had lost hope. Met and only Met was what worked for us! That's great that you've been regular since starting it! There's always hope as long as you're ovulating, you know?

Hello, I'm a newbie and I was diagoned over a month ago and I've been on met for about the same time. Haven't lost any weight, a few pounds, maybe but nothing significant. Also, does anyone experience any fatigue while on it? My appetite has not changed (2000mg), no other sypmtoms really just constant fatigue, I don't ever want to get out of bed, and I am so not like that.

I know that this is for success stories, but maybe someone can help me? My nurse said that it might be from the heat (Atlanta, GA)...Help?

How long did it take you girls to actually ovulate on the met? Or get regular periods?

Thumbs up

Thanks Morgan.

Last night was my 1st time taking it. I had a really bad migraine. Woke up this morning and not so bad.

Mai- I did notice I was really dizzy and fatigued the 1st 1/2 of the day. It only makes sense, the meds lower your insulin intake which is what gives you energy. I ate a whole grain bagel (lots of fiber & protein) and a cup of juice and I felt alot better. I'm pretty much ok today I'll wait to see tonight when I take my next dose. I'm hoping I'm just one of the lucky ones with low s/e but I am also aware that some meds take a while to build in your system then give you s/e so we'll see. I don't really have an appetite, I had to force myself to eat ( I don't want to lose any more weight).

DeeHope - I agree with Morgan and believe that is ovulation spotting. That has happened to me before 3-4 days after I believed to O.

I go to the doctor on wednesday for my first diagnosis - and I think that he will prescribe me met...the nurse practioner who did my last exam seemed to think he would - your success stories mean so much - esp when i read the scary side effects that met can have!!

Yes, there were signs for me before testing. The glands under my armpits started to ache bad and I had almost shooting pains from arm to breast. Usually it's just my nips that would hurt but this time it was opposite - it was the whole breast itself and my nips weren't even that sensitive. So that was definitely different for me.

Also (and this is when I pretty much just KNEW) at about 11 dpo I had the strangest, most intense pinching cramps in my uterus- never felt anything like them before and they only lasted for a few minutes. About an hour or two after that, I felt like AF was on her way. Lower back ache, kind of crampy feeling and later in the day was when I wiped and got light spotting on the tp. Looking back that was definitely implantation.

So I thought, well either AF is super super early or this just might be it! I waited 3 more days and no AF and that's when I tested. Got a nice dark pink line on a FRER, came up within five seconds of peeing on it! Got to say, it was the most amazing moment of my life. After waiting years and years and never thinking it was going to happen and then seeing that dark positive.......I was stunned. And all it took was a diabetic drug that one of my RE's said wouldn't help me.

Good luck to you Dee. I really hope Met works for you too!

Morgan Marie

I did have some charp pain in my uterus a couple of days ago but then again it might be from ovulation itself. I'm waiting for my AF this week and if nothing happens I'll take a pregnancy test and see. I'm so hoping to be pregnant it has been so long that I'm getting desperate but thanks so much for your advise and support. I wish you the best as well and take care.
