(I don't say BFN b/c it really couldn't be pos this early.) Probably this should go on a TTC thread but it is only possible b/c of the Met.
Any one else have this stupid compulsion? It is ridiculous! I can't afford it!
Melissa & Samantha, so glad the Met is working for you!
VRSweeney, I'm the worst low carber ever, esp since now I know that Metformin won't let my insulin get out of control whether I'm bad or not.
Beckee- I really like vitex, myself, but I have to remember it regularly and for some reason, it is the one thing I forget to take! Do you think that your cycles are supposed to be shorter and vitex is putting things right?

Do you think that your cycles are supposed to be shorter and vitex is putting things right? | Well remembering for me is easy because Vitex is supposed to be taken first thing in the morning all at once, so I do it as soon as I wake up. Yes, I think they are supposed to be shorter, and one reason I believe this, is because I would have more than one patch of fertile cm, and my cervix would be ripening, and then I would stress out and things were closing up and drying out! ALSO, I just started Vitex two cycles ago, and my first cycle on it, I got pg. (Ended in m/c however)
Hope this helps, ladies!

I started met in August of 2007-a low dose of 500 mg 2x a day. After 3 weeks or so I got af, and I continue to lose weight. Not drastically but I have lost 15 lbs since being on met and I am continuing to lose. I haven't had af since the last one but I am hoping with the increased dosage that I start on Friday, I will be well on my way to getting pregnant, and fitting into my skinny jeans. |
Hey Samantha,
My name is cole and I have been on Met since April of this year 1500 and increased to 2000mg still no AF. I even tried Prometrium but nothing and am about to go on another cycle of it. I noticed that met really helped my cravings and mood swings. However I live a pretty active lifesyle and haven't seen any mahjor weightloss. I'm interested in losing about 15lbs that would perfect fro even 10 is great I have very little to lose. Did you really monitor your diet? I drink on the weekends is that a major no no on met??
thanks
Nicole

You mentioned that you felt like AF was coming on because you've been cramping for a month and a half and are feeling a little nauseous... I'm not saying you are, but is there a chance you're pregnant? That is how I felt when I got pregnant (yay metformin!). I felt cramps and then started feeling nauseous and a little repulsed by food in the evenings. Look in to it. If not, I hope AF does happen for you since Met helped so many others like me. Good luck!

I am on CD 27 and I am feeling like it didn't work... I have taken a few HPT, all Neg. I know I know, WAY WAY too early but I felt the urge to do it. I have had cramping for a few days...Feel kinda gassy today, and I had a headache for 3 days. It was bad!!!!!!! Not tired, breasts could be a bit sore, but it could all be in my head. I think I noticed EWCM on day 21. not a lot but some when I wiped (sorry TMI) I also have had baby dreams ALL week!!! what's up with that LOL. I dreamt about our little girl we were adopting but the birth mom changed her mind. She looked just how I remembered her. She will be one on the 29th. Man does time fly (although it was a long looooooooooooong year)

Points: 7,602.44 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 7,602.44 | Hi ladies,
I have been on the boards for a while, but I haven;t noticed this thread before (maybe because I spend more time in the TTC thread). LOng story short: I have been actively TTC-ing since April 07, been on Met since February 07. Met regulated my cycles, I O on my own, but I am not getting pg. I even tried Clomid 3 cycles. Now I switched to a new RE (my third one since January, lol - what can I do, I did not feel comfortable with any of them) and we will do an IUI next cycle. I am spotting today, so I guess AF will be full flow tomorrow, then cd3 b/w and u/s and HSG.
short question: I just picked up my new bottle of Met and it is not ER (I was taking MET ER 1500 until now). I am quite sure my PCP wrote ER on the script, but I noticed too late to argue. I have nothing against regular Met (not ER), but just wondering if any of you switched and had any s/e? I had no s/e whatsoever with Met ER. THANKS !!!

I guess it is possible i could be pregnant, but this has happend to me before.Yesterday i noticed my breasts were a little sore and i have been so hungry for the past couple of day's.Evidently my sugar is doing something wierd as well.Last night i got home around 7pm and when i walked in the door i felt like the room was spinning, and my hearing got a little fuzzy.I sat down and asked my husband to get me some sprite.I checked my pulse and it was 120 beats per minet. After i sipped on the drink for about 20 min.I snapped out of it .I had eaten at about 3pm so i figured i would be ok till i got home.Has never happend to me before.Today i have been feeling a little strangeas well.I don't really know what is going on.
You know , if i am pregnant that would be a hoot because i am not activly trying to concieve.
I figured i would give it untill the begining of next month to see if it comes and if not then i guess i will get a test.

Most people get positive results as early as 10dpo all the way to weeks after a missed period. Its hard to say. I didn't have many symptoms. I just was watching closely, was pretty sure I had ovulated and knew when to test. I tested about 14 dpo. Good luck! |

My Mood: Points: 210.71 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 210.71 | Newbie!!! Wow this is my first post as a cycsters. I found out that I have PCOS a few months ago and I wanted to try to get healthy on my own... Didn't work out so well... It seems like its extra hard for me to lose weight or stick to something. I haven't had a period in about 6-8 months. Before that it was maybe a year. My period hasn't been regular for years. I've been doing some research on met and I think that I'm going to give it a try. My db and I are talking marriage and I know that children will follow soon after and I want to get my body ready now. Any other advise? |
