So far on the 750 all good apart from my sugar cravings being back in the last few days, am wondering if this is becuase the dosage I am on is not enough to be controling my inslin properly yet - any ideas?
Also I had a very weird light headed 5 seconds last night about 2 hours after taking my 500ml tablet, it was such a weird feeling its hard to explain, I came over all hot and my hands became really sweaty, also went very dizzy and felt like a massive surge of blood to the head, then it went, didnt last long...not sure what all that was about, I was guessing it was because I upped my dose yesterday?
Any one else get any of these weird little things happening to them..?
Have a good day!!!
Karen

Good luck to everyone! Btw..does anyone know what the normal levels of androgens are? |

I was just curious to know if anyone has paid for Metformin without insurance coverage..
Im thinking about quitting my job but Ive been on Met for 2 months and its working, Im on cycle day 2, this is my first cycle without provera since May. So im kinda scared that im going to have to go a few months without it, then have to start all over again.
Im more than willing to pay out of pocket if it isnt too costly...

Hi I actually forgot my insurance card on 1/2/08 when I went to pick mine up and paid cash. I am on 500 mg (3 x's day) and for a month supply it was $34 something. I hope this helps and I hope this was accurate. I got mine as CVS. Best Wishes....

You can find out information about this at the Walmart site. Click on pharmacy. Sometimes its just a matter of having your doctor change your prescription to match the dosage on the list if you don't already have that one.

Points: 661.85 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 661.85 | For anyone looking for a success story with MET I will share mine. I first found out I had PCOS when I stopped getting AF after stopping BC. I was TTC so my DR started me out on clomid. I tried that for 3 months and had irregular temps. We then switched to MET. I was only on 500mg MET XR once a day and within 2 months I got pregnant. I will say that along with the MET I did walk daily and eat a low carb diet. I did lose 15lbs in that time frame. So for anyone looking for encouragement hang in there. This stuff really works! |

My Mood: Points: 2,550.12 Bank: 5,654.67 Total Points: 8,204.80 | I haven't been posting for a while- AF visited in October, but then skipped November, so I didn't feel like a Met "success story." I got a BFN in mid November and didn't think about it again. I know VRSweeney and I chatted about it then. BUT:
On 1/4, when I was using an ovulation strip, I decided just for the hell of it to add a pregnancy strip to the pee cup. It turned dark pink so fast, darker than the control line, that I COULD NOT believe it. I was sure I had confused the strips. Three hours later I peed on a drug store test and got another strong BFP! So shocked, seriously. I truly thought I was relapsing right back into anovulation. I am going for my first ultrasound 1/21, but we think I'm 8 weeks along!
The moral is that Met FRICKEN WORKS!!!!! Very best luck to you ladies, whether you're trying to conceive or just lower androgen levels & get healthy. It is my wonder drug.
