I started on 500mg and it is working well enough that I got my cycle on a normal 28 days from the first day of my last cycle. This is only the third time in nine years that this has happened. I am SO excited! (I know, excited that I got a cycle. Strange huh?!)

I am hoping that it won't take very long with the met before I get my first BFP. We have already tried Clomid for three cycles and nothing happened. Just switched gynos for the third time and I have my first RE appt on March 26th. I'll definitely ask about a higher dose!

I'm a thin cyster and never been tested for IR (although I suspect i probalby do have it, btu doctor doens't test cause he said the results can be unreliable and he just prescribes it regardless). I did ovulate on my own just not regularly. I believe most of my lab work came back normal at least the last time, but do have cystic ovaries, high cholesterol, mild acne and I think that's it (oh, fertility issues of course! I tried for a over a year for the first one before diagnosis) |

My Mood: Points: 110,931.90 Bank: 6,180.56 Total Points: 117,112.46 | I was very strict the first time since i was so desperate and it made me lose a lot of weight (I was at my highest at the time at 126lbs and got down to 109 lbs at 5'4.5"...my normal weight is more like 112-115 within 3 months) The second time I was less strict since I was still nursing and hadn't even had my first postpartum period (never did get it.. got pregnant instead!) but it made me lose even more and I got down to 107 which I was a bit worried about, but still worked! The third time I wasn't very strict but still lost about 4-5 lbs with the met... but got pregnant the same amount of time regardless, so not sure if it really helped or not, but feel its worth a shot! |

Does anyone have any references for any specialists in central NJ? Thanks |

I started the Met on Valentine's day and although the weight loss hasn't been drastic, I have found that if I cut my carbs and sugars in half from what I used to eat, the weight just falls off. Good luck to you again and keep your head up, you can do this!

Personally, I think met is well worth taking. | good to hear this me and my husband lost 2 babies and I wasn't taking my metformin the way I was suppose to I'm glad I came across your message I know to keep taking my met now thanks so much. Sharon in TN |

I took it briefly before and all it did was give me what seemed like a really long but light period. I'd love to keep in touch and try and keep notes and share stories of our daily progress! Good luck to you all! |
