My Mood: Points: 869.56 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 869.56 | I had a quick question.. Ive posted it before i think but never got a response. I started AF on April 16th for the first time on Met. Before now, i havent had one since May 2006. But, now its the 27th, and AF is STILL here!! It will stop, then come back, stop and come back, etc. Has anyone experienced this on Met?? Any info would be very helpful!! Thanx!!!!

hi.
i conceived on met. i am still on met to support my pregnancy. i did my own research and came to know tht there r women who stay on met throughout the pregnancy which is good and can also breastfeed while being on it.
my doc told me to stop from week 12-14. through my research, i talk to him again tht i want to be on it through out, then he said that he lets his patients stay on it for 18-20 weeks. he also said that its my choice if i want to stay on it cuz he makes his patients stop.
many doctors r hessitant cuz not many researches r done on met and its not FDA approved for PCOS.

I miscarried on Febuary 24th and finished the whole ordeal on March 26th. I have been taking Metformin seen April 1 and then i started spotting April 5-April 13th. I still didnt get a AF since the miscarriage(unless that was my AF from april 5-13). Any advice????

My Dr. is allowing me to stay on Met this pg for the first time. The only difference I notice is that I am not gaining as much weight as the last two times. That is enough good things for me though!

I DO have my hands full right now! I'm exclusively nursing though and with the exception of one PP AF (crazy!) at 8 weeks I'm not ovulating just yet anyway. My first two were 18 months apart and conceived on my first ovulation PP, so we'll see what happens this time! As of yesterday I do need to change my tag line though as I no longer have 3 under 5... I have 3 kids 5 and under now! |

Well a friend of mines gave me hers, bc she couldnt swallow the pills. Well hers says Metformin ER 500mg. I'm not sure about the ER part. What on earth does that mean??
