My pre o temps are usually in the low to mid 97s and then in the low 98s after o. It is hard to judge anything if you did not start temping until after you od. Take a look at my Sept. 28th chart I showed my doctor last week and she said that it's prettymuch text book. That big dip just before my temp rise is ovulation. You will be able to tell more with your temps when you start a new cycle and temp the whole way through.

I'm looking for someone in Portland, OR been prescribed metformin without being insulin resistant. My fasting blood sugar is 91. I work out 4x per week and eat pretty healthy and my weight just keeps going up and up. I think metformin might help with this and other PCOs symptoms I have. So far I can't find a doctor willing to prescribe it unless I'm diabetic.
Im not in Oregon, but what if you brought your doctor some online research that proves metformin has helped even thin women with pcos. I would at least try that. I am overseas and my new doctor really doesnt seem like she wants to give me metformin either, but I basicly forced her lol. with all the info i had on it.

Well I am not a success story yet, but I am determined to be! I started 500mg met twice daily on Oct. 15 and have yet to see anything really promising. I have been told it can take a bit so I am going to wait it out.
I do have to say though the tummy issues went away pretty quickly so I guess that in its self is a success. lol

Welcome Selena and Oregon! Selena, most people will tell you that you won't see great effects from metformin until you increase your dose to 1500 mg. How did you finally conceive #1?
Oregon, my doctor was also reluctant to prescribe metformin, but I was persistent. I sent her a couple of research articles (you can look up articles at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed) showing the effects of metformin in getting thin cysters pregnant. She finally put me on metformin (but I was already pregnant from Clomid). I stayed pregnant, though, and that could be due to the met!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! Halloween parties are weird when you're not drinking. I think I ate my weight in crudites and candy, and woke up feeling hungover anyway.
LOL Dura! The spotting stopped right away. I have tested everyday since 8dpo none have said yes...but I am trying to stay positive and keep praying!

Oregon You mention your fasting blood sugar but have you had your insulin levels checked? If your insulin levels are high a doctor may be more willing to put you on met. Some doctors are reluctant to prescribe because there are doctors starting to prescribe it and women who have started taking it as a weight loss drug. Are you TTC? If so how long have you been and how old are you. These can be factors in how a doctor is willing to treat you and how aggressively. I am curious if your doctor is male or female. I have noticed on these message boards that if you are seeing a regular obgyn and not an RE the female doctors seem to me to be way more agressive in treating infertility and willing to listen and try many things. I believe its because me can not relate to a woman's biological clock. My doctor started blood tests the first day I saw her. In less then three months I was diagnosed and put on met and clomid. My doctor is being very aggressive with my treatment she put me on both meds right away and is monitoring me with blood work because I am already 35 and have been TTC for over two years.

AFM; So halloween day DF and I both had the day off and DS was not home so we went to lunch togeterh and just had a good time. (long over due) then @ 4 i picked up DS his half brother (4yrs old) and DS's 2 friends and took them all trick or treating with my mom, sister and nephew. It was DS's half brother's first time ever tricker treating... Ya sad huh ! This is why I want to adopt him SO bad. DF is not having it !!
So my TEMP is either kick ass or the progesterone is kick ass...LOL well I just need it to stay up till sat when I POAS !! +++++++ please please !!

Yeah Charisse maybe it wasnt.. im not sure. I hope I still have a chance. I took a test from 8dpo-12dpo and all bfn. Maybe i miscalculated my o date...agh maybe i didnt o at all. Who knows. Ill just have to wait and see.

Charisse - your chart is beautiful! I didn't do much for halloween this year either - kind of like you, but with mouse ears and whiskers and black clothing. No one at the party I went to knows I'm pregnant so I couldn't do anything fun with that (and seriously, some of them wouldn't take "no, I'm just going to stick to water" for an answer! I mean, if I heard a young woman my age say she wasn't drinking, I would jump to a couple of conclusions. But these guys aren't planning to have kids anytime soon, so they suspect NOTHING ).
We're in a condo building so we never get kids coming by, but I love to see them on the street! I can't wait to have a kid to take trick or treating!!!
Oregon - Kellie might be right. My OB/GYN is a woman and she put me on Clomid right away. I was a little shocked - I'd only tried for two cycles - but she said "you want a baby now, right?" and I did.
Dura how long did it take for you to get prego on clomid?

Ok im thinking i didnt o. Maybe I just caused myself to have a large cyst... Still no AF but still BFN on 13dpo! Its either that or I oed later then i though i did, because even if it was earlier sumthing would be going on by now. im very frustrated! Im trying to stay positive but...dont know. But for now i have to go..take a final exam. Then ill be back And i wanna hear what all of you think. Has anyone else ad a large cyst...how did you feel did u think u had oed...
