Default Metformin for Thin Cysters....stopped working?

Hello Ladies

Its been a while since i posted as i am currently working abroad and dont get to check the board much but i had to come back on to see if anyone else has experienced a failure of Metformin after initial success?

I was put on Metformin in May 2 x 500g a day to see if it would help me ovulate. It has worked every month but i havent had a period now since August 15th so on day 43 and still no temp spike

The cycles have been fairly regular ranging from 27-32 days and through charting i know i usually ovulate around day 20/21 so the last cycle (27 days) had a very short luteal phase. Then this month the 20 days came and went and still no temp spike and my temperatures were all over the place. Around day 27/28 they regulated so i assumed that perhaps due to a little stress (i work summer seasons and August was a little bit mental!) i missed out a period completely and that this one would come as usual. My temperature dipped for 3 days early this week and i expected a spike but still nothing. I am trying really hard not to obsess and stress over it but i feel like my bad skin is returning and after 4 months of having smooth skin and being so happy it is hard not to worry!

Has anyone else experienced Metformin stopping working randomly? I cant see my doctor for another 5 weeks as i am still away and really need to know if it is normal?! Most of the research i have done online with regards to random failure of metformin seems to relate to those who are losing weight on it and the weight loss slows so any thin cysters out there have any experience with this and if so did you see a doctor....any advice? Can i expect this to happen randomly and will it get itself back to normal?

Sorry for all the questions and the long post but i need help before i turn into a complete stress head!

Thanks in advance to anyone who has any thoughts on this.
