Anyone heard if there is a link between Metformin and insomnia?

I have only just started taking 2 x 500mg Metformin about 6 weeks ago and after initial week of GI probs have had no side effects. However i have noticed over the last month I am having major problems getting to sleep at night. In the morning i feel like i am drugged i am so groggy. By the time i get home from work i am exhausted but then by about 9pm I am wide awake again.

Just wondered if it could possibly be linked to starting the Metformin?

Anyone else had this problem?

Hmm...I just started taking two doses of Met a day (500 for breakfast and 500 for dinner). I'll keep you updated if I develope these symptoms.
