metformin & trying to conceive Hi ladies,
Well, I'm so excited to find this site. I've been bouncing around from other sites for women trying to conceive but the topics just weren't specific enough. I felt like no one could really help me through my journey without having some frame of reference. I was just diagnosed earlier this month and am just about completing my first month on metformin. I don't have any classic symptoms of PCOS except for the ultrasound and some insulin with high levels of testosterone. I'm 5'9" and weigh 145. I saw an endocrinologist who gave me a zillion blood tests and everything came back normal. My husband and I are trying to conceive #1. It's been five months now and we're still very hopeful, especially now that we're taking metformin. Hopefully it will work for us!
I have a question and I apologize if it's redundant (I'm sure newbies ask the same questions over and over). Hopefully I'll be able to answer some questions too, as soon as I become more of a novice.
My periods have been slightly irregular - usually by five days or so. I've been charting and the pattern looks totally normal. Normal luteal phase, temp rises and drops exactly where they should be. I even have normal appearing CF. So is it possible that I ovulate most of the time but not always? If I wasn't ovulating, wouldn't I get no rise in temperature?
