Hi!
I'm taking metformin and am a thin cyster (5' 6" 128 lbs.) Just wondering if anyone on here has had success in ovulating with metformin alone, without changing your diet or exercise.

P.S. I don't over-indulge in sweets or refined carbs

Hi Meggie,
There are a few of us on Metformin alone on “Thin Cysters TTC Unite” thread under TTC buddies under Infertility and Trying to Conceive. I have only been on it for 5 weeks but I'm really hoping it will help me ovulate on my own. There has been a lot of research indicating that it is very successful in thin women with PCOS. I hope it works for you!

Hi Meggie!

I've been on met 500 mg alone for around 2 weeks now. I haven't ovulated yet, but my temperatures appear promising (not all over the place), and I had a faint positive on my OPK yesterday. So I'm feeling pretty good about this.

I don't eat any sugar or starches - I cut all that out of my diet. Other than that, I exercise very seldom. Last night I did yoga. Other days I probably just walk for 30 min total a day.
