metformin without pcos

Hi there. I am new to this board. I recently miscarried our 1st baby and had a laporoscopy. My doctor told me in a follow up appt. that I have tiny cysts on my ovaries and prescribed me metformin. He said nothing about pcos. I discovered this while researching metformin. My question is can I have cysts on my ovaries and not have pcos?

Welcome to SC. Sorry about your miscarriage. Yes, you can have PCOS with the cysts. There are other things you can have like..facial hair, ect. I am glad you found us. Contact me if you wish. See you around.
