Metformin XR.....Newbie ????

I have not been diagnosed as having PCOS, only as being IR...

Well, I just started taking Met XR 500mg 2x daily.....been on it for about a month.

That being said, since then I have noticed a huge difference in the excess facial hair. For one I see a lot less of it, and what ever is there is not as dark and coarse as it was before, it has gotten much finer. Which is amazing!!

However, prior to starting the Met, I lost 13lbs on WW and since starting my WL has been at a stand still.....In addition, I haven't gotten AF yet, its about 2 weeks late. I haven't had any PMS symptoms as of yet, where before taking Met I would get horribly sore boobs and leg pains??

Is this normal?? No AF, and feeling hugely bloated????

I have noticed hair changes as well. However, I am taking met to regulate my cycles. It has not happend yet, but each person is different.

I am sure there are others on the board that may have the same problem. have you taken a hpt? A lot of people have conveived taking met. Hopefully I will!

Are you trying to conceive?
