Default metformin or Yaz

My nurse practitioner confirmed for sure today that I have PCOS. My LH was about four times higher than my FSH. I knew something was wrong with the acne, weight gain(from 130-160lbs in two years)..all in the middle and the lovely hair all over my body..except the head
She talked to me about my options as far as meds. I hate medicine and so does my husband(he's a pharmacist ) but if I need it ..I will take it. She told me I could take Yaz with an extra Rx for Spironolactone or Metformin with Spironolactone. I opted for the Yaz and Spironolactone combo but after reading all the posts..I'm thinking I made the wrong decicion.
I'm not looking at having kids right now but I would like to someday maybe in the next year or two.
Suggestions???

I was on Yasmin and everything was going well. I saw ads for Yaz and thought I would give it a try. So far I've gained three pounds this week and have severe cramping. Needless to say I'm going back on the yasmin.

Oh, and I love Met. I've lost 25 pounds so far with it (except for the 3 I gained back this week. Ugh!)

I'd try it for a bit and see how things go with the Yaz and Spiro.

I was on just birth control for 4 months to see if that'd clear up my unwanted hair and irregular periods and such. BUT NO.

Stayed on BCPS and added 100mg Spiro daily. (3 months)

And now, i'm on BCP, 200mg Spiro daily, and 500mg Met.

So i just suggest to start out low, and see how things go.
