my ob-gyn suspected and found that i have pcos in 2006 checked but was not cacerous (thank god) well due to medical insurance (whcih I now have) he put me on metmorfin, and loestrin 24. But since I have had irregular periods since i was like 14 yrs old which i am 24 yrs old now, iasked him for provera in order for me to get my period in order to start the bcp. I'm on my 9 day on provera hoping to get any type of bleeding not ttrying to be gross to start the bcp I am wondering out of all this will this probably make the cyst go away or at least make me get regular monthly periods as i am hoping to have a second child 6-12 months from now. But i am reading a lot of not so good reviews of loestrin i'm kind of confused. I used orth tricyclen when i was 16 to regulate and was fine but my dr. gave me loestrin. If any one has any opinion or anything anything or something similar it would be very helpful
HI, I was on Loestrin 24 for 2 months last fall and it was AWFUL. The worst BCP I was ever on. Headaches everyday, exhausted, sick to my stomach, etc....Worse than all 3 of 3 pregnancies combined. HTH.
well i got my period on friday started the bcp pill well still to early to tell but so far so good finished metmorfin 30 days only no refill thank god that was horrible anyway thanks for the reply
HI! i just wanted to let you know that i have been on Loestrin 24 for 6 years now. I love everything about it. I don't get cramps, no nausea, no bloating, no pms... it's wonderful! I've tried several other BCP and was miserable on all of them! anyway, i just thought it would be good for you to hear a good review of Loestrin. i wouldn't change ever! I'm also on metformin, for about 3 weeks now. we'll see, i haven't had many bad side effects!
well so far the bcp i'm a lil bit too tired and really dont feel like eatin much not that it makes me nauseus or anything i just dont feel like eating but then yet again last time i was on bcp ortho tri-cyclen i lost wait also and felt the same way so hopefully i get to lose wait on loestrin
Hello everyone! I just want to ask if metaformin would really help in curing my polycystic case.
I have one kid and i'm planning to get pregnant now. But since my ultrasound show that Im still POS. I was given by my ob to take metaformin.
Is this safe? would it help me get pregnant? will it make loss weight or gain?
i;m in the same boat, my ob gave me metmorfin for the cyst, and being that i wasnt getting regular periods he gave me 500mg, about losing wight i dont know since he only gave me 30 dys
HE GAve me this with bcp and provera to induce my period the bcp loestrin 24 fe was for a couple of months to see when i stop it would regulate then from there we'll see when are my days to conceive
