The dr I went to see today suggested I start using minoxidil for women (basically 2% minoxidil, or rogaine for women). Has anyone had any luck with those products?

My hair loss made me seriously consider using rogaine/minoxidal/etc. I did much research on it.
What made me decide to pass on it was that the hair you grow (if it works for you) will fall out if you ever stop using it. I don't want to have to use it for the rest of my life!
Secondly, another side effect is that it causes increased facial/body hair. I'm already dealing with that and don't need to make it worse.
