Hi, in reply to your question I too am considering taking mircette. mircette has the progestin desogestrel which is a less androgenic progesterone like yasmin except it has no potasium sparring diuretic in it. sorry about spelling.lol well, I took desogen a couple years back and it worked very well it has desogestrel in it as its progesterone like mircette but desogen has more estrogen. it is probably closer to yasmin than mircette is. mircette is like loesterin fe as far is estrogen is concerned, the estrogen is low it is a low dose pill. I was on yasmin for 2 years and went crazy!!! and also ended up with heart palpatations and a potassium imbalance. so yaz and yasmin for me are out. desogen cleared my skin and really helped me. so mircette should be a good pill too. my best friend is on mircette and loves it. she says she didnt gain a pound and her skin is alright and that she is much calmer than when she was on yasmin. so I think its worth a try. the only thing about desogen, mircette, and any other bcp with desogestrel in it is that the blood clot risk is 2.3 times higher than that of the other pills such as ortho and other older pills, and some cysters speak about the dangers of that. so im sorta scared to take em . but talk to your dr. if you have a good one about it for guidance....also anything with norethidrone will probably break you out.
good luck...and I hope this helps some.
