Question Mirena IUD

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if any of you ladies have had or know much about the Mirena IUD?
I got the IUD about 6 months ago, and I was breastfeeding at the time, so it was one of the only BC methods I could use. But because of the progesterone in it, I have not gotten my period, and now have to have the IUD removed. He is going to put me on Yasmin, and then I think he is going to do a tubal and ovarian drilling.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen, or any suggestions or advice?
I am currently on 1000mg of metformin, and 100mg of novo-spiro, and I have been a crazy hormonal lady from having the novo bumped up hoping that it would bring my period on.

Thanks,

Tanya

Hi

I've had my Mirena nearly 2 years now, and I get on really well with it. although it has made my periods go a bit hit and miss.

if you have a chance to do a 'search' there is other info about it here. hth.
