I found out 2 weeks ago that I was having a m/c. I went for my first u/s and there was a sac but no baby, so the dr. wanted to schedule another u/s a week later, went back still no baby.... so we scheduled a D&C for Tuesday July 25.. This was 4 days ago and I'm still bleeding.. I didn't bleed any Thursday but last night(Friday) I went to the bathroom and wiped up a huge blood clot(Sorry TMI) and I started cramping REALLLYYYY bad, I didn't know what to do so I called the ER and she said for me to just keep a check on it throughout the night and if I was still bleeding this morning to call back.... well, when I woke up this morning, again sorry TMI but my panties were soaked from a discharge, it was alittle bloody, but more of a discharge. I've never had anything happen like this before so I don't know if I should call the Dr. back or what. please help me.... Thanks in advance.

I've never had a d&c for a miscarriage, so I am not sure if it's normal. To me, it doesn't sound like it. Yes, I would call the doctor just to make sure if this is normal.

It is more of a watery like discharge with alittle bright red blood mixed in! The stomach cramps are the worst, I have tried to lay down but I can't. I don't know if this is normal or not.

I bled for about 7 days after my D&C, just like you described.. watery with bright red. Occasionally I had small clots. Did your doctor prescribe you any pain meds? I took Vicodin for several days afterwards.. I wasn't in that much physical pain, but honestly it took the edge off the emotional pain.
It sounds like you should go ahead and call your dr. They said if you were still bleeding, call them back, right? For your own peace of mind, give them a call. Everything's probably OK but you'll feel better if you know for sure!

Yes, she put me on Lortab for pain and some kind of antibiotics. I know it probably isn't nothing, but i worry all the time and I just didn't know if it was normal or not. Thank you so much!
