Hi ladies. I had a miscarriage on Monday. This was my 1st ever pg, I;m 37 with an adopted, 15yr old daughter. This pg was quite a happy surprise for dh and I. Looking back things weren't right for about a week. The baby wasn't measuring right etc...
I was supposedly at 7 weeks when I mc. Throughout the pg I've had sore bbs, but that's about it, maybe fatigue and frequent urination.
The ER paperwork says I had a complete mc. Now today, 2 days later, my bbs are the most sore they've ever been. Is this normal?
My hcg level at the ER was 7100, 2 weeks ago when I found out it was 3279. That level still seems high. The u/s tech did a belly u/s because I had a tremendous amount of bleeding. (I may add I have a lot of belly fat)And ruled no sac was evident (I'm pretty sure I saw this pass). I'm just not understanding the very sore bbs, more sore than when I was pg. I know I still have pg hormones for a while, but it makes no sense to me. Any ideas?

First of all, let me say..... I am sorry that you lost your baby! I would imagine that the hormones that cause your breast changes during your pregnancy...... are now causing changes again.....(reverting back to normal breast tissues and glands) and this may be the cause! You may feel the changes more then say .... someone else whom has a loss at the same 7wk span. Just a thought!!! I would think it was normal though!
I'm very sorry about your loss!! I'm not sure about the soreness, so I would just suggest watching all of your symptoms as you recover and treating yourself tenderly. Any real questions, don't hesitate to call the nurse. I agree that it could mean your breasts are going back toward normal from the highpoint in your hormones. (((Hugs)))

I had a m/c at some point this week as well. I'm still slowly going through it. I think the worst part about the whole experience is the lingering symptoms of pregnancy. I think it's another one of life's cruel jokes. The worst is continuing to take my prenatals for next cycle. At this point, it feel redundant.
High hopes for the next round!

I'm sorry for your loss. I also had the breast issues after my miscarriage, and I honestly think it's because my body realized that the baby was out, but didn't realize that it didn't need milk and my body was trying to lactate. That was one of the hardest after-effects -- I felt like my body was being spiteful. It should go a way in a day or two.
