Hi everyone,

After posting last week that I NEVER miss a bcp, I blanked Saturday and forgot to take my pill - it was the last pill of the 2nd week of active pills. I just skipped that pill and started taking again on Sunday, which is what I thought I was supposed to do.

Now that I am reading, it looks like I was supposed to take that pill as soon as I realized I missed it (which would have been about 7pm at night).

I didn't, so now I'm wondering what to do? My period began yesterday (the first day of the third week of active pills).

Do I just keep taking the pills as normal to finish out this pack and then start fresh, or do I need to do something different?

Please help!

If your period started, you're fine, just start your new pack of pills like usual. Next time you forget a pill, say you forget Saturday, when you get up on Sunday take Saturday's pill. Then before you go to bed, take Sunday's pill. That way, there is enough room between the two so you won't get sick and it keeps your body on track.

Thanks so much for your response! I will just continue on as normal - hopefully my system will "reset" itself after I start the next pack.
