Ok gals, I can't find my package insert so hopefully someone can help me before I call the doctor. I used to be really good about taking my bcp's every night before bed but the last 2 weeks I have been really bad and last week I ended up taking 2 on one night- because it says you can take up to 2 if you miss one dosage. Well, I'm at work and just noticed when I went to take my insulin(I keep all my meds in one cosmetic bag in my purse) that I haven't taken my bcp since Thursday night- I was on the first week of a new packet.
I am on bcp to regulate my cycles- I have PCOS and blocked tubes so can't conceive- my question is should I just take the 3 pills I missed tonight OR do I start another new packet of pills?
I've been so busy between work and getting the house ready to start the homestudy for our adoption that I have totally been forgetting to take my birth control pills. DH and I chose BCP's over me taking provera to bring on AF as the side effects on BCP's are less than being on provera.
Has anyone tried the patch? I am wondering if I should ask my doctor to switch me, I do cycle on the loestrin 1.5/30 but it is becoming really hard for me to remember to take the pill everyday.

THe patch works great if ou miss pills. I wouldn't take 3 pills at once. What a shock to your system. The patch actually gives more appropriate dosing than taking pills anyway. It is absorbed equally throughout the cycle instead of peaking mid day as you break them down in your system. I think the patch would be great for you. It is very similar to ortho-cyclen, GOod Luck withthe adoption!!
