Have you ever known for sure you had a right ovary? Occasionally people are born without various body parts, so if you don't know if you ever had it in the first place, don't worry unless the Dr. tells you to.

I have a friend (she doesn't have PCOS) who was born with one ovary. She had several children and only found out she was missing one when she had a hysterectomy.
No i got an ultrasound about 2 years ago and they saw both my ovaries easily and when they looked this time my left ovary was waayyy on right side and my right one was MIA.

I just had a similar situation, My ovaries which about 2 years ago were fine, a little cystic but fine. Now they are so pushed together they can't tell if I have 2 or where exactly they are! Just wanted to let you you are not alone, and it could be cyst(s) just pushing them in all these different directions, sorry I can't be of much more help...hope you get things straightened out

i had a transvaginal ultrasound and they found my left ovary easily, but it took her a long time (and a lot of painful digging around) to find the right one. she found it, but she was seriously aggressive trying to do it. maybe your tech just wasn't as willing to hurt you as mine was. you might have both ovaries... who knows? you may just need a different tech.
