I am due for an upgrade with O2 round abouts now so you can guess the question that is coming!!!
What phones do you ladies have or recommend?
Does anyone have a newish one?
The one I have at present is ok, very much resembles a brick. It was last years 'X-Factor' phone and flashes down the side like a Christmas tree. Well, I liked it at the time! The sides have fallen off and it is a right mess, has taken a bath several times and doesn't work to it's best ability, understandable really considering the battering it has taken over the last year!
I have always had Nokias, they are simple, easy. Kinda scared to try a new make, how pathetic! I like the menu layout and text layout on Nokias. I'm not great with technology. All this Blue Tooth, videos and MP3 playing stuff on phones is beyond me really and is not what I see important in a phone. I don't speak on the phone much and send about 5-10 texts a day probably less so I don't use it much but I do always have it with me.
I was going to write down the name of a couple that took my fancy from O2 but their site is down
Anyway, any suggestions / advice welcome.
Thanks!
x

I have had phones by Sagem, Nokia and I am now using a Motorola which I have had since Feb 2004. Have never had a problem in changing over to different makes of phone. My friend has a Samsung phone which she loves and when she gets a new phone she is going to stay with Samsung. Happy phone hunting...

DO NOT get an O2 X3 cos they are notorious for having a software problem, as mine (the second handset cos first was faulty too) amongst other things died when i was on holiday, could have been stranded if i was on my own. Plus they wouldn't change it only send for fixing.
SO DON'T DO IT!

That is a pet hate of mine. It happened my my new PC, they refused point blank to give me a new one and insisted on sending it to be fixed. It is outrageous, if it was anything else in a shop, they would exchange it. Especially after something being quite expensive, really you want a new one and peace of mind that it's not just been fiddled with and sent back! In the case of my PC, they send exactly the same thing back, still broken!

I know what you mean about always having Nokia. I stayed with them for years,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but now I have a Sagem on payg with Orange. I find Orange good as you can put bolt ons - 50 messages for £4.

I have been with Vodafone since 1994, I got a free Virgin sim card a couple of months ago and decided to change to Virgin as the tariff (pay as you go) was better then Vodafone. After 1 week I was back with Vodafone, it may have been cheaper but the service and reception in some areas wasnt as good, plus I didnt receive any of the texts that my partner (who lives in Florida) sent me in reply to my texts. My friend also swapped hers from Vodafone to Virgin and was told that she would have coverage where she was in Italy for a few days, and she got nothing at all. With Vodafone her phone has been fine in Crete, Morocco and Gran Canaria. The only time I use my Virgin sim card is when I call my partner as it is much cheaper to call the US. The other week I had about 3 calls to my phone didnt know who they were from, but managed to catch the caller this time and it was O2 wanting to know how much I spent and what phone I used... told them I wasnt interested..lol.

It's funny you say that about virgin I was with them for ages, I only changed to orange as they do really good deal if you are a student. I've never had a problem with signal, I used to get a signal when the rest of family didn't. I suppose it's just where you live. I also used it in the USA, & the canary Islands, turkey, France, Germany, Holland, & it's always been really good, but I got such a cheap contract I was better off. when I stop being a student I'll go back to virgin.

Like you Shellie I always had Nokias as they seems to never wearout on me! lol. I use to love the old Erriccsson's but that was my addiction to Sweden, but since they merged with Sony, there phones are just crap, everyone I had broke within months!
I am not using a Motorola litle flip phone. I've only had it a few months, but it's great. I've had three motorolas now and I recommend them! Sagem are also good!
I've got a Motorola V3 in black, it's the really thin one and I love it. It's my second Motorola, I always had Nokia before, the first couple of days after switching was a bit strange, working out the slightly different keys etc but now I find it hard to use anything but Motorola. My work mobile is a Siemens and I'm not overly wowed by it but then again it is not exactly the newest model or anything!!
