I have been trying for 5 days t post photos with my posts and this message keeps coming up:

I thought it was just a problem I was having! I posted with photobucket to get around the problem, but would love to be able to post the old fashioned way (especially since I just gave someone directions on how to post that way!)
It looks like that after all the trouble with the board, they decided to run it in a safe mode. But it looks like one of the limitations of the safe mode is that certain scripts won't execute, and it just happens that the picture-uploading script is one of them.
If this is indeed the case, then I don't think this is intended to be permanent. But it seems to have made the board more stable so until they know exactly what the problem was before, they'll probably want to keep it running in safe mode.
