Default moisturizer?

I was wondering which moisturizer you ladies would recommend. I have combination skin that is acne prone. I've been using a Tea Tree Wash that i like but would like to also use a moisturizer since parts of my face are very dry. I would appreciate any help

I like several:

Murad's Skin Perfecting Lotion feels good and non-greasy (but with a shiny appearance?), also has AHAs in it so you do need a sunscreen. I'd like to try their Pomegranate Moisturizer because it feels similar but has SPF 15. Fairly light.

Clinique's Moisture Surge is really good (but pricy). It's aloe based and feels really nice. I've tried their dramatically different moisturizing gel, and I don't like it as much.

I like the mattifying feel of Oil of Olay's Regenerist serum.

oh I agree murad makes really good moisturizer!!! I love the pomegranate one, its oil free and feels so good on the skin and undermakeup , its great for day! at night I like the murad perfecting moisturizer. murads products are also non comedegenic and hes a dermatologist so it works well to not break you out. also you may like things from dermalogica, they are good for acne skin too.

I have combination, acne-prone skin and love Olay Complete. It doesn't break my face out at, sinks in quickly and the price is reasonable.

For really persistent acne, I recommend checking out the Paula's Choice line. It's from the women who wrote Don't Go To The Cosmetic Counter Without Me. The AHA and BHA moisturizers are fantastic and the website is (was?) very liberal with the free samples.

clinique makes a moisterizing gel (rather than a lotion) that doesnt' make me break out--it feels amazing on my face. Its a little pricey but one container of it has lasted me 2 months...and theres still about half of it left.

I also like clinique's moisturizing gel. . .but even that I thought was too "heavy" and it didn't absorb fast enough for me.

A few years ago, I was putting make up on some ugly scabby zits (I pick, I know it's bad, but I do it anyway), and I realized that maybe it would be easier to cover up zits if I put moisturizer on them first and then put on make-up. So I reached for the only moisturizer I had at the time: Neutrogena hand cream (like, the white bottle with the blue and red flag). Just a TINY LITTLE DAB, and bam, my make-up went on much more smoothly.

To my surprise, my acne started to heal much faster as well. I've discovered that if I use anything that dries out my skin as it cleans (since I have oily skin), my acne sometimes gets worse. So now I put on whatever moisturizer or lotion I have, which has include Bath and Body Works lotion, as well as Victoria's Secret lotion. This might not be a good idea if you have very sensitive skin, but I highly recommend this method for any dry, flakey acne that you're having trouble with. I also like my method because I don't have to buy any expensive facial moisturizers.

I use natural products from Dr. Hauscha (http://www.drhauschka.com/)

I use the rose cream or an oil on my skin at night after washing with the cleansing milk. I recommend their products very highly as they are natural and clean, and work on my skin. My sister uses them as well, and she found they really helped her when she was having excessive breakouts before she got her PCOS in control.

I've also used a food grade walnut oil on my skin, a trick I learned from the website waisays.com. Her acne diet book suggests that you should wash with mineral water and only use low vitamin e products to prevent dehydration of the skin which her research states is the cause of acne in the first place.

I'm a recent convert to moisturizer and love the one I've found: Color Me Beautiful Proof Positive Oil Free Moisturizer. It has an added bonus of an SPF 15 so I don't have to do sunscreen too. It does a good job of keeping a matte finish throughout the day, which I find very impressive as I have extremely oily skin.

Good luck.
