Yeah, a few weeks ago she calls me up and you know how she tries to tell me and I just couldn't figure it out?
"So, do you have any of your old research papers and the like from when you were diagnosed with Diabetes?"
Yeah took me a while to clue in, but the next day I went out and I bought her a book on the GI Revolution. Now I am trying to get her hooked up in the same Diabetes Workshop that I have on the 23rd of this month.
I hope that with me living with my Mom right now, maybe we can help each other in battling the war against Diabetes and have healthier eating habits together, maybe.

well it is great having each other to get better suport and together everything will be less stressful GOD bless bouth of you and hope the best for both of you. i have diabetes and there is no one in my home who understands and they allways are making pasta or cakes and it is hard when you are on your own on this and no one help out.
Awww hun, that sucks. For the longest time, I was in your shoes. I felt like no one understood. Especially when Jay was a big time enabler!
It suchs cause Pasta is one of my fave meals. Now it's all about moderation.

Mom had to be booked in a class for Nov 22nd, so I am trying to call them back to see if I can join her in that one. She thinks I would be embarrassed to be in the same class as her mother! Not reeally, I think this will help us band together and learn how to fight this disease while I am staying with her and hopefully I will leave with some mighty good habits when I am on my own.

Ya! I was able to get into the same class as my Mom! I am happy.
Mom likes to tease me, that I am going with my Mommy, but I don't care. I was a rebellious teen when I left home at 17. I have come to appreciate all that my Mom has done for me since leaving home so young and being back at home living with her now as I go thru some rough times myself.
