Default Mood Swings

I don't know if anyone else experiences this type of problem. I have incredible mood swings. There are times that I can snap at complete strangers and remain angry with them for hours afterward during certain times of my menstrual cycle. There are times when I cannot sleep because I am so angry with the individual for whatever transgression I have assumed that they have committed against me while I am so ashamed of myself for being this upset because I know that I should not be.

The problem (other than what is obvious) is that despite the fact that I know it is irrational and I need to not remain upset there is nothing I can do to relieve it. There is no medicine, no exercise, no yoga, no meditation, no relaxation technique, no herbs and no vitamins that I am aware of that have helped me thus far.

What do I do. I know this is PCOS because it is like clockwork with my menstrual cycle and the surge days of certain hormones.

yeah i know what you mean . I have that same problem .It will be two weeks before my period and I have mood swings glore. There is moment that I will have this anger out of no where and then I be sad about something. Then thatz when I get really insecure about things like my relationship with my boyfriend. But any other time of the month im fine. I dont know , i just think its weird but lucky for me I have a wonderful guy willing to put up with me. I sorry I dont have the answer you looking for but just know that you not alone in this.

LOL Im with ya cyster!!

I eat ***** flakes for breakfast every morning....the only thing that is different between you and I is that I dont get AF - so my mood swings just come and go when they want to...

Needless to say, I am up right now, because i am sooo mad at DH and I dont feel like sleeping next to him right now in fear that i will smack him or something LOL And the worst part is, that it was something stupid that we got into a fight about, but I am too mad and stubborn to apologize

I dont know if there is anything to control it, but it IS a symptom of PCOS - so you are defintely NOT alone!
