I have bin on microgynon 30 a standard combined oral contraceptive for about 5 months now, i think its helped with my excess hair problems, cept i got bad mood swings which i presume were cause by it, an i think theyve just got worse an worse, its like i dont have a break ne more, for the past month its just bin one big down mood.
so im thinkin maybe i shud change pill, but im worried that ill get put on a less efective pill for the excess hair, where as i wud prefer to go on an even stronger one like diante.
do u think id have even worse mood swings? or would the fact its a diff pill maybe stop the mood swings
can ne one suggest ne other pill, basicaly i want less mood swings less hair...lol
ive got a docs appoint on 18th aug so ne help b4 tehn wud b much appreciated

You could talk to your doctor about Dianette or Yasmin in the UK. Yasmin markets itself as having fewer side effects and has an androgen-binding agent which is supposed to help with excess hair problems.

Some drs are reluctant to px Yasmin on the NHS because it's the most expensive BCP on the market, but you can push for it, or you can also buy it online tho it's rather spendy.

The other option is to ring round to your local chemists and find out how much each would charge to fill a private px for Yasmin BCPs, and then if you can afford it, ask your dr for a private px. All NHS drs can do that.
