Does anyone else have issues with extreme moodiness? I think that it is the birth control that I am on, but what really bothers me is the fact that I know I am being horrible. I will jump down my husbands throat about anything these days and know the whole time that I am yelling that I am completly in the wrong. I just can't stop myself. Then I am crying...and apologizing. All I can say is that thank goodness he is extremly patient and understanding.
I have really bad moodiness even when I am not on birth control. My hubby can't stand it. I have to really watch myself or I will take it out on people and I won't even mean to. Then I am like OMG I am so sorry.

How long have you been on the birth control pills for? The first three weeks I was on Diane-35's, I was super moody, snappish, and irrational. I think it was just the adjustment to the new hormone levels... I adjusted and got better, but I also have clinical depression, which is a seperate issue, but also a possibility in your case. Good luck.
lately my mood has been all over the place and I have no idea why. I went off of met in october (to deal with my IBS...because we know that met doesn't help anything in the digestion department!), but that was so long ago I feel like it couldn't be just starting to affect me now. I get my BCPs on campus because they're cheaper, and they switched to a generic brand 2 months ago...but, again, it's been a while and I can't see it just affecting me now. But lately I've just been all over the map - I don't get angry more than I think I would've otherwise, but I cry like its my job! Sometimes I just sit down and start crying before I can stop myself. But I don't know what I'm crying over at all...it's so weird and unnerving.
But if you feel like its your BCP, talk to your dr about using a different kind maybe? I know a lot of people who had to try a couple different brands before they found one that didn't make them really moody. Even switching brands of the same kind, e.g. from one triphasic to another, can change things. good luck!

I understand what you are going thru totally. I was like that when I was on a triphasic BCP. The endo changed that to a monophasic and put me on it for 12 weeks straight to stop some of the hormone flucuations. It is much better but coming upon about week ten I start to get really weepy. So just hang in there...hopefully you will find a good doc to get you under control.
I had a really rough patch a few months back. The reasoning the my doctor gave me was that my horomones were all over the world because I was loosing weight and had started having my period again....it lasted about three months, the weight loss kinda plateaud (sp?) and once again I am null in void in the period department as well as the crazy person mood swings
