Does anyone have more hair around the nipples than under the chin?? Is that 'normal'? I have around 40 hairs around each nipple and a bit over 10 (thick and dark) hairs under my chin. I always thought it would be the other way around. i'm absolutely terrified that soon my chin hair will try to 'catch up'! Is it possible that I'll always have more hair around niples than on my chin?

That's a question that nobody's going to be able to give a categorical answer on -- it's simply a fact that though hair growth in both these areas is extremely common with PCOS, it's not possible to predict to what extent any individual is going to experience growth in those or any other areas.
If you've about 40 hairs around each nipple, it's quite probable that it's as heavy as it's going to get in that area -- if these are dark, moderately coarse hairs, then your nipples would probably rate as hairier than average.
On the other hand a mere ten thick dark hairs on your chin certainly doesn't count as a beard, and many of us have beards that could rival those of our DHs or DBFs if we let them grow. You may never get more hair on your chin, but the probability is that you may. However, I don't think it's something to be terrified about, even having more than the present ten hairs on your chin. You don't say how you deal with the ten chin hairs (if you remove them), but speaking for myself, I didn't start getting beard growth until I was about 40. However, I'd been shaving my moustache since I was 13 and every day since I was 15, so when my beard began growing in it just took a few seconds longer each day to shave my chin as well, so it wasn't (and isn't) a problem.
I wish I got my first chin hair at 40!!! I got them when I was 12!!! And first nipple hair at 14:'( I thread/tweeze the chin hairs. Lets hope 10 is as bad as they'll ever get

It just illustrates one of the great puzzles of PCOS -- how different people are affected differently.
It's probably surprising that I didn't have any significant chin hairs until I was 40, considering that I had male-type moustache growth from about 13 -- and I can assure you that by the time I was 15 threading or tweezing wasn't an option with my moustache because the hair was far too coarse and strongly-rooted.
However -- and I take it that it was related to peri-menopause and the high levels of testosterone combined with rapidly-decreasing estrogen levels -- when my beard started to grow in on my chin it wasn't just a few hairs, but rapidly turned into coarse, male-type beard growth. However I didn't really find the appearance of beard growth traumatic at all, largely because it takes only a few extra seconds to run my electric razor over my chin in the morning -- and by the time the beard growth came in I'd been shaving my moustache every day for 25 years.
Interestingly nipple hair is one thing I don't have. I'm extremely flat-chested, but do have well-developed nipples which, surprisngly, are completely hairless.

Thanks for the help.
I wish I was like you because at least no one looks at my nipples

I only have 4 coarse half-dark hairs on my chin and I really hope that will be it (even though I doubt it - up until a few months ago it was only one...)
I do however have probably 40 very dark (black) coarse hairs around my nipples. I've those for a couple of years now and the number seems to be pretty consistent.
i also have the nipple hair issue...I have tried tweezing (HURTS) but ultimately went with electrolysis. Surprisingly, it did not really hurt (doing my toes and underarms hurt WAY WAY WAY worse). The electrolysis seems to have been fairly successful...I am on my last few treatments. I don't have a problem tweezing my face (I get the sideburns/upper jaw stuff) my bathing suit area--nope, I don't want to see it. Ever. I've had my bellybutton/lower navel done as well. These areas were just too embarassing to leave alone, and way to painful to do on a regular basis.
Anyways, the electrolysis lady was saying it didn't hurt as much on the nipple because the skin there is thicker--sort of a protection when (if) breast feeding.
Toes, on the other hand....I cannot emphasize enough how much that bloody hurt. Even with numbing cream and advil. hell, I think it woudl have hurt even with vicodin.
I've broken several bones and I have to say, electrolysis on the toes still takes the cake.
I have two hairs on my chin and around 20 hairs on each nipple. I am also having electrolysis done and wow! that really is the way to go. A huge visible improvement--- plus I used to tweeze and got the worst ingrowns.
Plus, I hate shaving... I also have hair down my navel which I hope to tackle next after I save up some more money. The hair has been consistent since I was about 16 (maybe a few more) and I am 24 now. Let's hope that it doesn't get too much worse.
