I have posted in this area before, but I wanted to say that I've now just had my 2nd 28 day cycle since starting Vitex again in June!
I was anovulatory and did 10 rounds of clomid to help me ovulate -- this stuff is a Godsend!
I'm not doing anything else differently -- just 800 mg per day!

Moving on to IVF after a year of infertility and 3 Femara cycles. Lupron started on 7/27.
Congratulations! Woohoo!! I've been thinking about vitex and your story is inspiring. (I had 2 periods this year and would love to have a cycle) 28 days!! Are you ovulating too?

I'm not on any other drugs like Met. (I tried Met about 2 years ago... not a good drug for me!!)

Hmmm.... I think I should try Vitex again. It seems to aggravate my endometriosis though. I'm willing to feel the pain if it helps me ovulate! Good for you Julianne! Its always nice to hear success stories.

I am anovulatory as well and can't have a cycle without the help of bcp or provera. What is it supposed to do?

Vitex is supposed to regulate your hormones. It directly affects your pituitary gland. The herb is vertually side effect free, and very mild. It is supposed to be a wonderful herb for women with PCOS. I can't find any reason NOT to take it! It does take a while for it to work though. I have read that it can take up to 2 months to see any kind of progress.

Chula - I've always bought mine online (at vitacost.com - only about $3 a bottle), but I've seen it in whole foods stores (we don't have any in my area, so that's why I've always gotten mine on-line). GNC supposedly has some, but I've never seen it there. I've also checked the grocery store, Wal-Mart and Super K, but none of those places have ever had it.
