Default More Provera!!!

Ok... so... I dont know if this is because of provera but.... and this could be TMI... but I am in so much pain!!! I have never... as far as I can remember, since I started AF when I was 13 or 14... had such a painful visit before!! And I dont know if its because I went sooo long without one, or if its from the provera... but... its rediculous... I have DOUBLE COVERAGE.. and I am going through super plus tampons every hour.. sometimes a half hour!! I know TMI and I am sorry... but I can barely walk the cramps are so bad.. and I was under the impression that provera would make it not so bad... Midol isnt helping, pamprin isnt helping... motrin helped for a bit... but I cant even sleep well it hurts so bad... I have also never had such a heavy AF either... This is the 3rd day and its not letting up at all.... hopefully tomorrow will be better... Ok I am done complaining now...

I know when that the longer I wait to get Provera or Prometrium for AF the worse my AF! I waited 6 months once and it was absolutely the worse. I was cramping so darn bad, going through a tampon every hour or two. It was like torture.

So, my money is on that. If it stays this bad, you should phone your doctor asap. They get concerned if you go through a pad/tampon an hour.

Hope it gets over with soon! And remember, going more than 2-3 months without AF raises the risk of uterine cancer. You do not want to do that. It's not worth it.

I was on prometrium when I was first diagnosed with PCOS and then on metformin which regulated me. I lost my insurance and went off all meds and then I just got my insurance back about 4 months ago... and Metformin didnt work alone so dr put me on provera. If I do not get my period next cycle.. I will have to take provera again... for 10 days... after a pregnancy blood test... This is day 4... I just woke up... and its the same pain and flow... its torturous... I will be calling the Doctor in the morning... if it doesnt let up...

I'm so sorry to hear of your pain. Its only my first time that I took Provera and now Clomid but I only missed AF 2 months when I took Provera and now with my AF its not so bad. Its definitely worse than when I normally get AF, because I usually get no cramps and spot barely there the whole time I have it so I can say its definitely heavier this month (could be provera). I agree with previous poster on it making sense the longer you miss AF then provera, the stronger AF comes on. I hope your pain goes away and AF lightens up on you. Good luck.
